I started repurposing and recycling candles years ago. Then I gradually moved to learning how to make candles from scratch. I've decided to take my hobby to a next level, and now I offer my candles to the people I know and can meet with. This all means that I handpour my candles in small batches. I offer beeswax candles, and a Pure rapeseed line. No each candle is going to be exactly the same, though they will have the same qualities and characteristics. Give them a try and see if you like them. I'm hoping to become your personal candle supplier!

We are currently offering shipping of my products within the EU. You can choose a Handover in person option for Brussels - Avenue Louise 493 (Café de la Presse). You can pay cash if you pick up your candles in person, and can return leftover wax and get a deal on your next order for zero waste approach.

Yes, if you’re available to pick up your product in person. I offer handovers in person in Brussels centre, Schuman, Flagey or Avenue Louise. Just choose Manual payment as your payment method during checkout, and we will schedule time and place for the handover.

Free shipping is offered on orders over 60€, in Belgium, and for EU-wide new subscribers to our Newsletter as a one-time bonus. Also, keep an eye on our special promotions, which may include an extended offer of free shipping. Setting up the Heart of Europe Candle shop has been a big undertaking. It has cost not only a lot of time and effort to get everything running, but also a substantial financial investment. I love making candles, and I am passionate about this project. I firmly believe that one day my micro business will become so steady that I will be able to offer free shipping in general. In the meantime, I’d like to thank you for your support on this journey!

We ship within the whole EU. All shipments are made via BPost or DPD, with tracking. If you live in a different country than the EU, we encourage you to find a local candle maker and support a local business.

Always make sure that you follow our candle care tips. Straighten the wick before you light it for the first time. Trim the wick with scissors regularly, or before next use when the flame is too high. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. For container candles, the duration of first burn should be around 3 - 4 hours (2 hours for mini jars). Wax has memory and if you do not allow for a big enough first melt pool, the candle will start to tunnel. (A thin layer of wax on the walls is ok, the inside of the glass vessel will grow hotter and hotter as the flame descends, and will eventually dissolve the layer of remaining wax.) For zero waste approach, you can collect your leftover wax and jar and give it back to me in exchange for a special deal for your new candle!

Yes! I love this zero waste approach. That is how I started making candles in the first place - by reusing leftover wax, as well as candle and food jars. Feel free to save any leftover wax and jar (you don't have to clean it, I will do that for you), and I will happily give you a special deal on your new candle. We use leftover beeswax to make beeswax tealights.

Yes! Our candles are handcrafted from start to finish, labels included. If you want to gift a candle with a unique label, send us an email and we will talk about it. We are offering a variety of special labels, including Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, Sweet Home (housewarming), Thank You, Merci Beaucoup, Wedding Day, and a lot of labels for holidays and occasions (St. Valentine's, Mother's and Father's Day, Halloween, Christmas etc.) Here's an example of our special add-on label. Note: Currently, we are only able to offer black-and-white labels.

Yes, we are offering discount for bulk orders. If you need a larger order for a party or an event, send us a message and we will direct you to our Candle in bulk page. You get 10% discount if you buy 10 candles, 15% discount if you buy 20 candles, and 20% discount if you buy 30 candles. Further discounts are possible for even larger quantities and/or longer term cooperation. We will be happy to make small gift favours for you, always making the packages beautiful, yet not forgetting candle care and safety information for the final recipient. Get in touch with us and we will come up with an offer and a quote for custom-made gift packaging for you, including gift bags/sachets/boxes of your preferred colour or theme, customized note cards to be put inside each package, customized labels to seal the package, bows/ribbons/stickers/decorations that go well with your theme.
