Heart of Europe Candles is here to supply you not only with natural beeswax and rapeseed candles but also tips and tutorials on how to make the most of them.
A candle shop, and a blog?
Yes, in addition to all the work related to launching a handmade shop, I’ve decided to start a blog. Why would I add more work to my plate, you’re asking? Oh well… I guess it’s because I have things to say to my customers about (my) candles. And my semi-monthly newsletter, plus a monthly candle tip that goes out to the customers do not give me enough space to go into details with some of the topics I want to talk about.
Also, as I gradually get more people buying my candles, I find myself sending them emails with candle care tips from my previous newsletters... and that’s not sustainable. Wouldn’t it be nice if they could browse Heart of Europe Candles blog for the specific candle tip or topic they are looking for?
So, here I am, putting my first blog post out there. I will talk about all things candles, happy to share my thoughts and experiences. At the same time, I’d be grateful if you’d let me know what topics you are interested in. I can’t say I will always have the answer but I’ll do my best to research the topic and reply to your questions.
Here are the things I would like to write about in the near future: new collections for special events, how to clean and repurpose your candle jars, candle hugging, beeswax candle “bloom”, my zero-waste approach to candles (e.g recycled beeswax tealights, imperfect candles, candle refills), why I chose to use rapeseed wax. I also want to feature some handmade local businesses, because we all could use some support during these crazy times.
I can make no promises about what topics will or will not appear here on the blog, we will see where this takes us. But you’re completely welcome to join the ride!
Please let me know what topics you’d be interested in! You can send me an email at info@heartofeuropecandles.com, or send me a message via our Facebook page or Instagram. And share with your friends and family!

Enjoy your candles, and until next time!
